Distinguished University Professor Bill Fagan and Ph.D. student Anshuman Swain built a new framework for understanding bacterial community interactions and evolution. Their work was published in the January 4, 2022 issue of the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

His funded project is on "Machine learning analyses of audiological data to predict age-related declines in hearing and cognition."
