Sean Carroll is Executive Producer of Film that Won World Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival

Distinguished University Professor of Biology Sean Carroll is executive producer of a new film, All That Breathes, which was honored as the winner of the World Documentary Grand Jury Prize at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival. The film is a poetic tribute to a New Delhi family that has devoted its life to rescuing black kites that fall wounded from the sky.

Carroll, who is also the inaugural Andrew and Mary Balo and Nicholas and Susan Simon Endowed Chair and a Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) investigator, also serves as vice president of HHMI’s Department of Science Education, based on the institute’s Chevy Chase, Md. campus, and as head of its film production unit Tangled Bank Studios. Carroll has served as executive producer or presenter on more than a dozen feature documentary films.
