Congratulations to Dr. Weitz and his research group for new article published in Nature

Congratulations to Dr. Joshua Weitz and his research group for a new paper that describes the life and death (and especially the death) of photosynthetic microbes that drive the base of marine food webs. The findings advances efforts to quantify the flow of carbon and nutrients from the surface to the deep ocean. The study was led by Dr. Stephen Beckett (UMD) and Dr. David Demory (former postdoc with Dr. Weitz, now a CNRS researcher in France) along with an international collaborative team.
