NRSA Predoctoral Fellowships The purpose of this Kirschstein-NRSA program is to enable promising predoctoral students with potential to develop into a productive, independent research scientists, to obtain mentored research training while conducting dissertation research. Students usually apply in their second or third year once their graduate research has been established. UMD typically offers workshops/writing groups to help produce an outstanding application. |
