Research Interests
My research interests lie in mathematical problems with applications in Neuroscience, Oncology, Immunology, Evolutionary Biology. More specifically, I use the techniques of parameter estimation, dynamical systems, network theory, and numerical analysis to create models of biological phenomenon (e.g. cancer growth, sleep dynamics, cellular immune dynamics). My current research program facilitates truly interdisciplinary collaboration spanning a number of subject areas including mathematics, computer science, physics, engineering, pharmacy, and oncology.

Currently, my research focuses in three major areas :
  • Understanding the relationship between ambient temperature and human sleep patterns
  • Understanding the link between parasitism and sociality in animals
  • Optimization of combined cancer treatments
