What: This hands-on workshop will provide training on the Python language. This workshop is perfect for beginners with little to no programing experience in python. We will be using the book by Dr. Martin Jones "Python for Biologists". This workshop will also cover the basics about High Performance Computer Clusters. 

Who should attend:
Undergrads, Grad Students, Post-docs, and Faculty that want to learn how to use command line tools and basic programming.

When:
October 7th, 2014This workshop will be held at UMD-College Park from 9am - 4pm. 

Course materials and lunches will be provided.

Prerequisites:


This workshop will require basic knowledge of the Terminal  (command line). If you are not familiar with the following commands this workshop will difficult.

$ mkdir
$ cd ~
$ grep
$ ls
